Undoolya Station, The Garden Station

Outback Quad Adventures have exclusive rights as Tour Operators on Undoolya Station, which is the oldest working cattle station in the Northern Territory.

It has been operating since the 1800s.
The pastoral lease over Undoolya Station was first granted to Edward Bagot in 1872.

The property is named after the aboriginal word meaning shadow. The homestead was one of the first buildings constructed in Central Australia, and is still the main family accommodation.

The property was bought by William Hayes in 1907, and the 4th generation of his direct descendants continue to run the working cattle station. The Garden Station, Undoolyas neighbour, is also owned and operated by the Hayes family.

Undoolya and the Garden Station are 3500 sq km combined with about a dozen residents. Compare this with Luxemburg where 500,000 people live in the same space.
